Congratulations to Joanna Klees van Bommel, who was just awarded an Early Career grant from the National Geographic Society’s Committee for Research and Exploration! This grant will help Joanna pursue her M.Sc. thesis field research on human-carnivore coexistence on southern Vancouver Island — we’re all excited to see the results (including more cougar and black bear camera trap photos)!
